Shrapnel- Character Design

My original character design. Shrapnel is an outcast in a world that had reached utopia. Society has built itself into perfection by the practical uses of "powers" found in gifted individuals. These people are born with extraordinary abilities that come with a plethora of practical uses. The wide range of usefulness stems from the ability to manipulate portions of matter including: fire, electricity, water, wind, light, plants, etc. These "Enhanced" individuals grew to be the foundation of utopia. However, there were some enhanced who did not give practical benefits to society and their abilities were seen as a curse because of the danger they pose to society without any real usefulness. Shrapnel is one of these outcasts born with the ability to manipulate the skeletal structure of anything. Over time through genetic and social darwinism Shrapnel along with the other "cursed" have been thought to have long been extinct. But a time may yet come when utopian's foundation crumbles in on itself and the need for such danger and destruction may yet be needed to save utopia from itself.
